Korynn and Jared; Winterthur.

There is so much I could say about this couple. They live out of state, knew they wanted a professional photographer but weren't sure what direction to go in and, they are both very sweet souls. They put their complete trust in me and welcomed me into their family circles. It was such a pleasure being with them giving myself to telling the story of their day. It's a beautiful pictorial essay of tender romance. Here is a glimpse................

From this day on............

Here are some images from the spectacular October wedding of Diane and Jason Buckland. The ceremony was at St. Francis Xavier on The Parkway and if you haven't seen this church you have to check it out. We covered the Art Museum, Waterworks, Rocky Statue and Broad Street for pictures. That was the matinee and the main show was at The Crystal Tea Room where CTO rocked all night long.

Drop me a line........

I'm putting more of an effort into updating the Blog as I have been getting a lot of feedback from people who are reading it (thank you). If you're one of my couple's or considering hiring me, drop me a line. On a seperate note, here are two of the people that have taught me the most in life.

BobCat....................

Cat if you're reading this we're getting close.......................... Cat and Bob have a great story and were generous enough to really share with me how they met. bob's version "we met in college". Cat's was a little more detailed and included several instances of how she timed her day to incrase the odds of "bumping" into Bob. You don't have to spend much time with them to see how in love they are.

Sara and Brad

Last night (11/14) I sat down with Sara and Brad to layout their album; they did an AWESOME job selecting images! Here are a few.

I just love this................

Anyone that has worked with me knows that I love my job. Despite all the hard work it is an expression and I am always moved by the beauty and grace of what is pure in all of us. Kanya and Robert's wedding was the epitome of that (not that all of my other couples aren't).

Diego and Jen........Philadelphia Royalty

Early in the Summer I had he pleasure of meeting with Q102's Diego Ramos. He and his finacee Jen were so nice and so excited about working with me it was hard to think of it as work. They had a stunning wedding at Arch Street Presbyterian Church followed by a reception at the Union League; EBE's Big Rick kicked out high octane music all night long. In attendace was a who's who of Philadelphia "On Air" personalities.

The bridal party was a nice size and there were plenty of family shots to do. When we were planning out the logistics Diego mentioned he might be able to get a police escort if I thought it would help weave in and out of the city traffic. He did. We went from the church (19th and Arch) to the Art Musuem, Rittenhouse Square, and then Broad Street by the Union Leage in an hour. Doing pictures the whole way. If that wasn't enough, at one point a helocopter flew over head offerring the newlyweds congratulations. It was beautiful.

A few recent ones

Four Score and the rest is history

They met at Gettysburg College (adding to the list of infamous events in the small town).

I of course had a shot list and timeline highlighting the days key points, but the thing I wrote down as a guide for the day was: "Follow your heart as the day unfolds. Honor the Declaration and Wonderment. They are extraordinary". It was an amazing day.

Check out some of the images. Http://www.leapfrogphoto.com/Sowanick

Here's a reworked slideshow from a wedding I shot earlier in the year. A lot couples like a candid flowing view of the day and that's what you'll see here.

Blog Nation.........

We're back. I should say I'm back. It's been a while and I'll spare you the story (suffice to say technical) but I am psyched! to be reaching out and sharing work. Stop back often as I hope to update this blog frequently and share work from current weddings.

Best,
Geoff
